Unzip Files Online
Open ZIP files in your browser: browse the folder tree with sizes and dates, preview text and images, and extract selected files or everything — no upload, no software.
🔒 Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploadedLook inside a ZIP before you extract it
This unzip tool opens a ZIP archive and shows exactly what is inside: a folder tree with every file's original size, its compressed size and the date it was last modified. Instead of unpacking hundreds of files to find the one you need, you can browse the structure, tick only the files or folders you want and download them. Text files such as README, JSON, CSV, source code and logs, as well as images in PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and SVG format, can be previewed directly in the page.
The tool reads the ZIP's central directory — the table of contents stored at the end of the file — so even archives of several gigabytes open in a moment. When you extract a file, only that file's bytes are read and decompressed with your browser's built-in Deflate engine. ZIP64 archives, Unicode file names, and old archives created on Windows with DOS code-page names are all handled, and the ZIP comment is shown if the archive has one.
Extract single files, a selection or everything
Use the download button on any row to save one file, or tick several files and folders and press “Download selected”. Because each file is saved separately, your browser may ask once whether this site is allowed to download multiple files. In Chrome and Edge the “Extract to a folder” button writes the files into a folder you choose and recreates the sub-folders from the archive, exactly like a desktop unzip program. File names from the archive are cleaned up before saving, so a malicious ZIP cannot write outside the chosen folder.
Encrypted and unusual ZIPs
Password-protected entries are marked with a lock and a clear message, since they cannot be read without the key. Entries compressed with less common methods such as LZMA, BZIP2 or Zstandard are flagged too. For both cases the Extract Archive tool, powered by libarchive, is worth a try — it also opens 7z, RAR and TAR files. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your archives stay private.
